laugh it up ...

The United States is facing its biggest financial crisis in ages. North Korea is blowing up nukes. Dick Cheney warns us of the "dangers that have not gone away." Wars are still being fought in Afghanistan and Iraq.

But over in the White House press briefing room it’s a veritable laugh riot.

Nothing tastes better than a fresh picked strawberry from your own little berry patch. Thank God for simple pleasures!

memorial day

We woke up well before the dawn
On the last Monday in May
And went to all the soldiers graves
On decoration day

Then in full dress of blue and gold
With sash and badge and pin
We'd clean and trim and place a flag
For all our fallen kin

Day greater than of Four July
We tallied freedoms bill
And cooked upon an open fire
Till all were fully filled

Then to point the morrows morn
And each generation train
That those with decorated grave
Have not fallen in vain

congrats

My brother-in-law David Prill graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis on Friday.
He's the one left of center in the back row with the beard.
Congrats Dave - and many blessings to you and Christa in California!

ascension

Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."
When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

More Americans Pro-Life

More Americans are Pro-Life for the first time since 1995 when the Gallup polling company first began asking "Are you pro-life or pro-choice?".
A majority of Americans answered, Pro-Life - 51% to 42%.
Praise God that more people are coming to the light. The truth eventually bears itself out, as science continues to shows evidence that life begins at conception.
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10

follow the sun

Amazing photos of the space shuttle against the backdrop of the sun taken by an amateur astronomer in his backyard. The shuttle is just a little black speck on the bottom right of the first picture, the second picture is a more close-up view of the shuttle, and the third picture shows both the shuttle and the hubble telescope beneath it.
wow ....
